Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actor and singer is best known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. Her debut as an actress was the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam in addition to her Malayalam d but with Annayum Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as an attorney in the Madras High Court. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was born near Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started in piano class at eight years old, was identified as being a "geek" and aspired to become a psychiatric patient until the 12th grade exam. In her twenties, she became involved in the Jackson Five-style troupe called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. In addition, she performed as professional theatre performers in the university. She was also one of the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began with Girishkarnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in a new Leo advertising for coffee along alongside the actor Shiva in 2006. In 2006, she was a part-time actress in a television series which was broadcast on Podhigai. She has performed roles in India. She played a minor role on the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). After performing a number of songs in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu he asked her to play as one of the lead female characters in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani who is a wife and mother whose man is in love with her. Andrea was chosen for the role after actors Simran Tabu and Tabu were sought out. The film premiered during the first half of 2010. In 2011 she agreed to be a minor role that was released early in the year. Venkat Prabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha that was released in August of 2011. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, that was released in 2013, marked the actress's Malayalam debut.
